Scottish charity has the media talking after a huge milestone

Kids OR Media Coverage

Charity PR experts tell the story of how KidsOR delivered $1.5bn in economic benefits to the world’s poorest countries

After aiding 50.000 operations for kids in Africa and Low and middle-income countries (LMIC), leading to an economic benefit of $1.5 billion, Kids Operating Room (KidsOR) reaches 3,985,335 followers across social media platforms.  We have our Charity PR agency to thank for this.

Kids OR recorded an increase of 0.5 billion in economic benefits to African and South American countries where its installations are complete.

The charity focuses on sustaining its operations through investing in local doctors by offering scholarships. In 2021, KidsOR awarded 22 scholarships to African doctors enabling them to train to become paediatric surgeons.

Our charity PR experts were excited to get the news out there. The news generated the following results:

Ø  171 items of coverage across national, regional, local, and specialist media

Ø  10,914,358 opportunities to see online, across social media, and in print publications

Ø  15 shares across social media, reaching a potential 3,985,335 followers

Ø  National features in ITV News, The National, The Independent, and The Scotsman

Ø  Key features in Charity Today, South Wales Argus, The Belfast Telegraph, and The Border Telegraph

Our team also spoke to Dr Olubumi Majekodunmi, the chief paediatric surgeon at Abuja national hospital.  Dr Olubunmi Majekodunmi spoke about the benefits of KidsOR when it comes to shortening the waiting period for operations. She describes it as “priceless.”

We drafted a press release about these achievements and sent it to the media, achieving coverage across national, regional, and business media publications.

Our media release highlights the impact KidsOR has in various countries with its operating rooms.
