5The key to a successful applicant in s1jobs current vacancy, is a real never say die attitude.

Scotland’s biggest recruitment platform are looking to attract the undead, for a three week voluntary stint during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and those who demonstrate the most promise as a flesh-eating zombie may end up starring in a chilling show.

The recruitment experts are looking for candidates with a proven track record in groaning and drooling, while a taste for human flesh is a preferred skill.

Successful applicants will be required to shuffle around the capital feeding on the fear of innocent tourists, locals and people handing out flyers.

Part-time zombie roles are also available – allowing you to be an office worker by day and a human flesh-eater by night, drifting in and out of life and death according to your availability.

The advert for zombies has been placed by Royale Productions, who have enjoyed two hugely successful seasons of their unique audience participation theatre show, Generation Z, in New Zealand.

The play will take place in the streets of Edinburgh casting the audience as survivors of a zombie apocalypse who must work with a small band of survivors to make it through without being bitten.

s1jobs is Scotland’s No 1 recruitment platform, attracting more than 600,000 users every month and is used by more than 2,000 companies, including Scotland’s top five Plcs.

Wendy Pauley, marketing director at s1jobs commented, “With over 5000 roles advertised on the s1 site every month, we have seen a  wide variety of job descriptions over the years, but this one has got to be the most out of the ordinary.

“It’s obviously meant to be a lot of fun and may be particularly attractive to budding actors, but it’s also a great opportunity for people to give their CVs a boost, as employers might see that the person is adaptable, a team player and has a good sense of humour.”

The successful applicants will be put through their paces at a zombie training camp at the Undead Academy before being subjected to a full Hollywood style make-up treatment.

The show is another example of the rise in popularity in the zombie genre, especially on Scottish soil, with most of Brad Pitt’s World War Z being filmed in neighbouring city, Glasgow.

s1jobs.com is Scotland’s most popular recruitment platform reaching 1 in 5 of the Scottish working population and the top performing brand of s1, which also operates in property (s1homes), entertainment listings (s1play), and automotive (s1cars) markets.
