Christmas at Tigerlily's

Fighting thousands of stressed shoppers and battling to travel in and out of the city’s shopping centres instils a chill into Christmas cheer.

A trip to Scotland’s capital Edinburgh provides an entirely different experience, with most of the shops in walking distance of another and also within walking distance of the city’s most glamorous bars, restaurants and hotels.

Tigerlily, on the city’s chic George Street, is Edinburgh’s leading boutique hotel with 33 individually designed rooms. The venue also has one of the country’s coolest bars and most popular restaurants.

David Hall, General Manager of the multi-award winning establishment which opened in 2006, said: “With Christmas fast approaching I can fully understand the dread that might be building for people throughout the country about what to do about their Christmas shopping.

“By tying in relatively stress-free shopping within walking distance of a stay at a luxury hotel, a delicious cocktail and fine food the whole experience is something that can be a fun part of the Christmas festivities.

“Shoppers can find pretty much anything they need on George Street, with a selection of top name brands and the big high-street stores are just a few minutes away on Princes Street.”

Tigerlily’s operator Montpeliers (Edinburgh) Ltd runs eight of the city’s most cutting-edge venues, with several of these also situated within walking distance of the hotel and all offering different experiences.

And with its special Christmas offers, such as the Four Days of Christmas that run from Sunday to Wednesday, shoppers can split the day and enjoy a two-course Christmas meal and Rosé Bellini for as little as £15 Montpeliers’ venues Rick’s, Candy Kitchen + Bar, Indigo Yard and Montpeliers Bar & Brasserie.
