Winter Proof To Battle The Winter Blast

First Call Home Assist Press releases

Winter weather tips for PR Scotland.

The Paisley Daily Express has reported that homeowners across Renfrewshire have been urged to consider ‘winter proofing’ their homes to avoid a huge repair bill in the coming months.

News of the warning came from home emergency company, Firstcall Home Assist, which said that it was vital that people take extra care of their properties during the cold snap.

After freezing conditions gripped Renfrewshire a series of top tips were issued to help protect properties from suffering potential damages and make sure they can cope with the forthcoming thaw.

Among the advice being issued is to leave your central heating on at a constant temperature to avoid freezing pipes and structural damage caused by the cold weather.

John Dickson, national sales director at Firstcall Home Assist, said: “Although we have already seen snow and ice in Renfrewshire over the past month, it is never too late to start thinking about ways to protect your home against the winter weather, which is predicted to become even more extreme.

“Getting an expert in to do the work now will be far cheaper than suffering a disaster further down the line.”
