Media lap up story about lovestruck couple’s wedding race to beat the workmen – thanks to Scottish PR agency
THERE’S nothing like a good wedding – and news that a young couple from Bristol have booked to get married in a venue just days after an extensive development certainly achieved some attention-grabbing press coverage.
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh‘s new three storey events hub was chosen as the venue of choice for Megan Crofts and her future husband Eric Hewlett – despite only seeing visuals – and living across the country in Bristol.
Having worked for such prestigious clients as the Gleneagles Hotel and the Sheraton Group, Thomas Johnstone Ltd were called upon to take charge of a bespoke £1.5 million re-fit to transform a 147-year building at Edinburgh’s Royal College of Surgeons into the Capital’s newest exclusive venue, set to finish in May – days before the young couple’s big day.
Edinburgh Evening News featured Megan and Eric’s story in print with an attractive and eye-catching full page feature and online on its widely read – and most importantly, shared, website – guaranteeing a large local audience.
The hugely popular website for The Daily Mail also featured the story – putting it in the view of the 11.8 million people that visit the website each day.
This latest media success is down of the exciting project work between Holyrood Partnership and The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
