The Edinburgh newspaper explained that house-hunters in the Capital are shunning so-called “fixer-upper” properties due to the recession and are instead opting to buy flats and family homes only in need of minor cosmetic upgrading.
Estate agency partner at Warners, Scott Brown, told the Evening News: “The banks have tightened their mortgage lending criteria, so you can only afford to buy these kinds of properties if you have a sizeable deposit to put down.”
The story, handled by Scottish PR agency Holyrood Partnership, the leading media experts. It appeared in the Evening News, which has 150,000 readers-a-day in Warners’ core market area.
