This week we’re straight in with some good news from Banks Renewables, which is celebrating after its Quixwood Moor wind farm was given approval by the Scottish Borders Council. The 13 turbine wind farm will not only provide a source of clean green energy but will also bring a range of substantial benefits for the local communities surrounding the site which include funding for local groups and charities as well as potential investment for employment and training initiatives. 

From caring developers to rogue traders – with news from our latest piece of project work for the Scottish Business Crime Centre, who have issued warning against bogus callers and rogue traders. A growing number of fraudsters who are targeting the over 60s with offers of discounted repair and improvement work, when in reality the work is often shoddy or dangerous with many using the scam to gain access to properties and steal valuables.
