We kick-off this week’s Holyrood PR TV with news of a sovereign nature. Everyone remembers the nation going wild for Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen wedding dress and while all eyes were on the creation, there was one woman for whom the dress held particular significance. Barbara Unwin a resident at Bield’s John Connelly Court in Dunfermline was one of a handful of people specially selected to weave the material which would form the basis of the Queen’s wedding dress back in 1942 and she is now sharing her craft with other residents at the home.
Next up is news of a new client win as we welcome back the Scottish Business Crime Centre which has enlisted our help again to promote their latest campaign to highlight the dangers posed to vulnerable people – specifically the exploits of bogus workmen and online scams.
Whilst others are fighting crime, the country has been fighting the white knuckled cold weather meaning coverage in The Scotsman for our client Direct Savings was perfectly timed. Ged Smith, founder of the firm which specialises in providing heating solutions has offered his opinion on the Government’s Green Deal urging the Government to stop talking and Go Green in order to help homeowners see the benefit of the scheme.
From heating up your home, to heating up the dance floor as this week’s Holyrood Recommends is a swing back to a music genre born out of Southern United States – jazz. Award winning Edinburgh born jazz and blues singer, Lorna Reid recruited the creative eye of Capture Media’s, Lewis Notarangelo to shoot her latest debut single – Doggone Good.
