Holyrood PR TV Episode 45

It’s been an ‘electric’ week here at Holyrood PR as we bring you news that will keep couriers powering through Edinburgh and the story of a local hero lighting up Dunfermline. Keeping the winter chill at bay is the heart warming tale of an iconic big red book and this week’s Holyrood Recommends which is best enjoyed with a hot coffee and will be sure to evoke the feel of Christmas in Paris, so stay tuned!

Travel chaos in the Capital has been driving drivers round the bend for the last year, so you can imagine how frustrating the job of an Eagle Couriers delivery driver has been. For this reason the courier firm has introduced a Giant Twist Power electric bike to its fleet, and twenty year old Paul Rice has landed the role of driver. The role was created in response to the government’s 18-24 Youth Wage Incentive Scheme. This great news helped propel the firm to the pages of the Evening News.

Paul wasn’t the only young man in the spotlight this week – nine year old Noah Duncan was announced as Dunfermline’s local hero on the pages of the Dunfermline Press, who, alongside Dunfermline Delivers, chose him as the nominee worthy of the honour of performing the iconic Christmas lights switch on.

And from a youth initiative to something more mature – our client Bield made a splash in the West Lothian Courier this week, with news of the ‘This is Your Life’ scheme being piloted at St Andrews Court Care Home.

And finally, when you’re out and about Christmas shopping this week, why not rest your weary feet while refuelling with some traditional French food at Edinburgh’s latest award winning café? Manna House Bakery, winner of Fresh Produce Retailer of the Year 2012, is found on Easter Road and, run by skilled pattisiers and bakers, features an outstanding range of sandwiches, salads and baked goods.
