Kids Who Fly To Swim Captured On Film Thanks To PR Video Experts

WHEN we learned off three Shetland children whose journey to their swimming lesson involved a flight across the North Sea, we knew we had to capture their dedication on camera.

The film combines footage of Shetland’s picturesque coastline with editing which simulates the flight map used on commercial flights – emphasising the commitment of the youngsters to get to their swimming lessons.

Head teacher Ruth Stout, who joins the kids on their travels, is interviewed and praises the Learn to Swim framework, describing how much the pupils enjoy their lessons – with the valuable skills they learn making the voyage worthwhile.

We also spoke to the dedicated swimmers – Freyja Parnaby, Grace Parnaby and Lewis Wright-Stanners – who talked about how much they look forward to coming to their lessons, much preferring the pool to an icy dip in the North Sea.

The Learn to Swim Framework helps to create environments for children from birth upwards where they can become competent, confident and safe swimmers with opportunities to progress through the aquatic pathway and to swim for fun.

Learn to Swim is developed by Scottish Swimming and supported by Scottish Water, equipping children with key skills to make them safer in the water and become more confident and competent swimmers.
