David Frankel Talks About the Importance of Competitive Golf

U.S. Kids Golf European Championship

 

Hollywood film maker David Frankel, who caddied for his twin children in this year’s U.S. Kids Golf Championships, has used his experience of the tournament to endorse the value of competitive play for junior players.

The director of The Devil Wears Prada and TV hit Entourage explains in this short video how he believes playing against rivals players from the around the world helps to breed focus, discipline, practice and, ultimately, skills which go onto serve the young players right through their sporting careers.

Frankel travelled to East Lothian to caddy for his 11-year-old daughter Phoebe who is taking part in this year’s U.S. Kids Golf European Championships with her twin brother Jake.

More than 500 youngsters from 40+ different countries competed for the 16 age group champion titles over five East Lothian courses over May 28-30.
