More than 2500 Edinburgh professionals celebrated their Christmas night out at The Royal College of Surgeons – as part of the institutions’ biggest ever festive season.

‘Ultimate Christmas Party’ made use of three of the individual venues to provide an all-encompassing festive offering.

The one-stop party idea proved a major hit with capital workers – and was completely sold out months in advance for the Friday and Saturday.

Snow canons, prosecco bar, cocktail lounge, karaoke and ceilidh all featured in The Quincentenary building and a casino, retro disco and gin lounge were hosted in the new Prince Phillip Building.

The stunning Playfair Hall also provided a dedicated chill out space – rounding off an experience to rival anything else available in the city in one of its most impressive settings.
