Blackwood Supports Traffic Invention for the Blind

Blackwood

We arranged to meet up with local inventor, Gavin Neate, and social media coordinator for the Blackwood Foundations Bespoken website, Paul Reoch, to demonstrate for us the Neatebox behind the Scottish Parliament. The Neatebox was the brain-child of ex-guide dog trainer, Gavin Neate, who has committed to bringing his prototype into commission. Many visually-impaired and mobility incapable people can find it difficult to activate crossings before finding the designated position to cross the road within time and safely. The gadget aims to assist those who have difficulty accessing pedestrian crossings, by remotely activating the controls on approach via an iPhone app. We made sure to broadcast this to the big media titles, after we spotted the story through our client Blackwood, experts in housing and care, through their social media website Bespoken. Read the full story about Blackwood’s involvement with the Neatebox.
