Rugby-themed proof that we never stop try-ing to deliver public relations success
AHEAD of Scotland’s first home match of the 2015 Six Nations, we kicked off this week’s episode of Holyrood PR TV at Murrayfield Stadium to bring you all the big stuff we’ve been tackling in the past week.
CALA Homes East
First up we caused a media scrum in Edinburgh’s online community after organising a major “Bloggers Event” in the spectacular setting of a £1m CALA Homes show home. The luxury home builder opened its door for the first time to web-only writers, who were treated to a tour of the Cumberland show home at award winning Trinity Park in Edinburgh. The event created major social media buzz and achieved great coverage in luxury magazine Scottish Woman, Edinburgh Life Magazine, Edinburgh Reporter and quarterly Herald property magazine.
Subscribe to the Priorty List, our weekly newsletter – because next week’s edition will include a must-read insider guide for any business interested in getting these sort of results with relevant bloggers.
BUPA Care Homes
Care pioneer Bupa also scored a winning try and enjoyed great coverage this week thanks to a quirky story involving one of its care homes. The Craigbank Care Home in Glasgow offers an unusual therapy for residents living with dementia – by providing them with their own traditional pub called ‘The Doncaster’. The pub concept provides a recognisable social environment for residents which stimulates residents and encourages the sharing of memories and stories. News of this innovative therapy was picked up in The Daily Express, Deadline news and Care Home News.
Eagle Couriers director Jerry Stewart featured in a brilliant story when he was invited to the House of Lords to collect a top industry honour – however his name was spelled wrongly in an article about it in his local paper. But we were on hand to help Jerry to come up with a humorous blog post on the name blunder likening the Eagles boss to controversial Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson, which attracted hundreds of visitors to the Eagle Couriers website. Overall a great result.
