Gran who has knitted every day for 30 shares shares her hobby in PR video

WE went along to interview Irene Bishop in a PR video to find out more about how her hobby has allowed her to help people across Midlothian this Christmas.

Irene, a tenant at Bield’s Whitehill Lodge development in Dalkeith, has knitted every day for the past 30 years and created over 15 teddies including penguins, snowmen and Santa Clauses to be donated to charities and raffles this festive season.

Irene is interviewed at the Bield development where she lives and talks of how knitting allows her to keep busy whilst creating toys for worthwhile initiatives such as Trauma Teddies used by the Children 1st campaign.

The video cuts between shots of Irene and close-ups of her intricately created teddies positioned on a chair beside her, which she shows proudly to the camera.

Whitehill Lodge is a Bield development for those aged 60 and over who want to be able to retain their independence while having help on hand when needed.
