Gilson Gray takes over Lindsays’ North Berwick offices; new board appointments at Commsworld; Medalist Scottish Swimmer Duncan Scott returns to Troon; in our latest PR video!
Featuring in the first part of episode 213, Gilson Gray has once again underlined its continued growth ambitions by taking over the North Berwick offices of law firm Lindsays. Expanding in East Lothian is an exciting move for the firm and demonstrates its ability to serve both businesses and local communities in Scotland.
We at Holyrood PR arranged a brilliant set of photos to be taken which helped the story achieve a wide range of coverage in the media. It gained an impressive reach, with articles in publications including The Scotsman, The Times, The East Lothian Courier and Business Insider, among many others – see our full coverage here.
Commsworld, Scotland’s largest independent telecom firm, has been on something of a roll – with another duo of expertly-told stories. Not only did it catch the media’s attention as it reported record revenues; it also announced news of two big-hitting board appointments, with John Bennett and Steve Langmead joining the ranks.
Thanks to our coverage, more than twenty articles have been generated across a range of titles including The Times, The Scotsman and The National; as well as in influential local press such as Edinburgh Evening News, and trade specialists Daily Business website and Digit. The story reached an audience of more than 600,000 people, not including the huge combined influence of these stories on social media.
At last but not least, Holyrood PR have been part of the homecoming celebrations of Commonwealth and Scottish Swimming sensation Duncan Scott. The 21-year-old recently won a record six medals, at the Gold Coast Games 2018. As Scottish Water‘s Learn to Swim ambassador, Duncan returned to Troon swimming pool meet with local schoolchildren to share his experience and tips. The Learn to Swim programme aims to reach 100,000 children across Scotland to encourage them to make a splash and take up the sport.
Our PR video team was delighted to go along and capture that special moment. We interviewed Duncan and filmed as he swam a few lengths and chatted to the youngsters. We’ve used the footage to produce promotional videos of the programme and encourage even more kids to get into swimming.
