Holyrood PR TV Episode 54

Holyrood PR

This week we’ve gone global with our Senior Account Executive, Victoria Ancell, in the glare of the lens to share news of New York beginnings, Chinese New Year celebrations, animated ads and our very own Man V Food challenge.

The Big Smoke is vying for our attention first as Queryclick landed a splash in the Scotland on Sunday with news of it making a leap across the pond to New York after announcing it had smashed sales targets in 2012.

We’re transported to the Far East as our client Sodexo Prestige marked the Chinese New Year by sowing and serving up a host of Far Eastern treats at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Head chef Ben Harrison worked with community gardener Ben Dell to treat diners to a feast of pak choi, chop suey and Chinese cabbage to mark the year of the snake.

A family made of toast have made their television debut in a novel animated advert aimed at educating Scottish homeowners on a revolutionary energy efficient heating system. Created by Direct Savings, the ad features the voice of Edinburgh’s panto King Grant Stott.

And finally, you might be feeling hungry but our Holyrood Recommends will either have you salivating or fainting. We hit the City Cafe with Scottish super feather weight boxer John MacCallum to take on its man v food style burger challenge. Watch as he attempts to rally through three beef burgers, two chicken breasts, two beanburgers, and mountains of bacon, cheese, guacamole and gherkins.
