Another action packed week for the Holyrood PR team this week, with charity sleep outs, cultural exhibitions and a rather special makeover for myself courtesy of this week’s Holyrood Recommends.
The nights may be getting colder and darker as winter sets in, but that didn’t stop the team and our trusty cameraman Lewis braving the elements and joining a group a fundraisers who spent the night sleeping rough to raise funds for young homeless people in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Sleep Out 2012 was organised by the Rock Trust in conjunction with 8 other charities across the UK. The event was a great success with coverage appearing in the Edinburgh Evening News, Edinburgh Reporter and even a wee piece on Castle FM.
And not only are we good Samaritans here at Holyrood PR – we are also a cultural bunch with an avid interest in art – especially that brought to us by client Breeze Art Galleries. The firm have been with us for three months and the past couple of weeks have seen a flurry of local coverage. The firm featured in the Lennox Herald for its charity contribution and the Glasgow Reporter with news of artist Philip Gray.Famous for braving extreme climates to find inspiration art lovers can view Philip Gray’s latest work at Glasgow’s House of Fraser on November 18.
