Edinburgh PR Agency returns in 2016 with huge news for clients
Returning after the new year Holyrood PR agency were not surprised to find stacks of great coverage for their client. And with a new year we decided to introduce a new face to HPR TV. Our digital account executive Kenny Murray takes the spotlight in his first HPR TV to present the stories we told for Eagle Couriers, Bell Ingram and Musselburgh Racecourse.
The recent closure of the Forth Road Bridge was a disaster for thousands of daily commuters – and a huge blow to haulage and fleet-based businesses.
Our client, Jerry Stewart, co-director of Eagle Couriers, which has a fleet in excess of 100 vehicles, would have a strong opinion. Part of our work with Eagle Couriers is to position Jerry as a leading voice in his sector.
We certainly achieved that! Jerry’s comments on why it is time to bring back a reasonable toll to reduce traffic and directly fund ongoing maintenance made it into over 40 media outlets. Some of the highlights of this huge haul included mentions in the Daily Record, the National, the Herald, as well as the key fife papers, the Dunfermline Press and the Courier.
Elsewhere our client Bell Ingram brewed up a stir in the media after donating their used tea bags to a rather unusual art project.
Dunblane-based artist Sue Horne, collected more than 4000 recycled tea bags to create an eight foot tall angel sculpture, which raised over £2300 for Syrian refugees.
The story turned out to be just the cup of tea for the media, securing numerous hits in key local papers, including Stirling Observer, Perthshire Advertiser, The Courier and Dundee Evening Telegraph, to name just a few.
Finally, revellers enjoyed the party atmosphere as they brought in 2016 with a bang at Musselburgh Racecourse’s annual Totepool New Year’s Day race meeting.
As well as a day filled with horse racing – known as the sport of kings – the first 200 guests were treated to a special First Foot surprise with an offering of mulled cider and a traditional haggis roll to enjoy in the New Year’s Day marquee.
The Holyrood PR team found out what it was like to be a winner after securing 10 pieces of coverage in well-known titles including Edinburgh Evening News, Edinburgh Reporter, East Lothian Courier and Border Telegraph.
