U.S. Kids Golf European Championship Blog

The U.S. Kids Golf European Championships has featured on yet another prominent golfing website – Golfersmag.com.

The website, which offers news from across the golfing world, has reported on the launch event for the 2009 tournament which saw East Lothian youngsters Callum Hill, 13, go head-to-head with 14-year-old Lara Frostwick in a golf match with a difference.

To celebrate the world’s youngest golfers visiting some of the world’s oldest courses, Callum was dressed in full 19th century golf gear and played with hickory clubs from the same period. Lara, on the other hand, enjoyed all the modern equipment from leading manufacturer U.S. Kids Golf.

The 2009 European Championships will be played between May 26-28, 2009 on five courses in East Lothian – Gullane No. 2, Gullane No. 3, Craigielaw Golf Club, Kilspindie Golf Club and Luffness New Golf Club, with The Van Horn Cup – a Ryder Cup-style event – played on May 29 at Gullane No. 1.
