Tea bag angel brings joy to property pr

Leading land and estate agents Bell Ingram caused a stir in the press over the Christmas period when staff from its Perthshire office revealed they had been brewing up double their usual amount of cuppas and contributing the used, dried tea bags to a rather unusual community art project. This unique project was the construction of an imaginative, eight foot tall angel sculpture made, in its entirety, from the distinctive ‘fabric’ of over 4000 recycled tea bags, in a wide variety of shapes and colours.

Dunblane resident, Sue Horne, was the artist behind the out of the ordinary creation, which was also backed by world-renowned classical Syrian guitarist Ayman Jarjour and ultimately aimed to raise funds for Syrian refugees.

The project was hugely successful, raising a final total of over £2300 for charity Aid4All and the ‘tea angel’ has since been flown to Dunblane Cathedral to continue to raise funds for a great cause.

The story of the innovative festive project proved to be a huge hit with key media sources, and featured just one day after issue in target publication the Stirling Observer, which circulates locally to a readership of over 8,300.
