Tigerlily Hosts First Scottish Event with Toptable l Food and Drink PR

One of the hottest new venues in Edinburgh hosts its first Scottish event, making Food and Drink PR headlines

TIGERLILY hosted the first Scottish event by restaurant reservation site toptable.

The George Street venue entertained 150 guests chosen from toptable’s list of the city’s top diners on Tuesday February 5.

They were greeted with Rocco Venezia Rose Prosecco wine and canapes. Diners also had the opportunity to enjoy a three course dinner at a privilege price of £23.

Chris Wood, Managing Director at toptable, the UK’s biggest online restaurant booking service, said Tigerlily was the ideal venue for the site’s first members’ event north of the border.

He said: “We were delighted to hold our first VIP event at Tigerlily – it is a very high profile venue.

“Tigerlily is popular with the local dining crowd in Edinburgh. And since we started working together less than a month ago it has already become a top choice for the most discerning diners in Edinburgh.”

The site, which receives over one million visitors a month, is already hugely popular in London and lists thousands of restaurants and social venues worldwide. But developing in Scotland is a key goal for Chris and his team.

He added: “Our growth in Edinburgh has been phenomenal. We have had 220% growth in online restaurant booking year-on-year.

“Edinburgh specifically has a culture of being home to great restaurants, such as Tigerlily and other Montpeliers venues.

“We now have nearly 250 Scottish venues on our site, with 100 of them in Edinburgh. It is certainly a key market for us.”

The site also lists Montpeliers (Edinburgh) Ltd venues indigo (Yard), rick’s and Montpeliers Bar and Brasserie.
