TIGERLILY, the dazzling new addition to Edinburgh’s entertainment and tourist scene, is planning its first Christmas and Hogmanay – and it’s pulling out the stops to make it a festive season to remember.

Tigerlily, the coolest creation yet from Scotland’s leading style bar/restaurant group Montpeliers (Edinburgh) Ltd, has put together a superb array of food, drink and entertainment to ensure any Christmas and Hogmanay celebration goes with a bang.

Christmas lunches and dinners – starting from 1st December – will see both traditional and unique dishes served up by critically acclaimed head chef Suzanne O’Connor and her excellent team.

Among the tempting dishes that will grace the stylish tables of Tigerlily’s restaurant areas are Roast Pumpkin and Cumin Soup served with Herb Crostini for starters, Marinated Venison with Braised Red Cabbage, Fondant Potato and Port Wine Sauce for main course, and Chocolate & Pistachio Torte with Crème Anglaise to finish.

The Christmas menus, which have a choice of four or five options for each course, include, of course, the festive favourite of Roast Breast of Turkey, Honey Roasted Vegetables, Chestnut & Pancetta Stuffing with a Redcurrent jus as well a good selection for vegetarians such as Leek & Goat’s Cheese Tart with Spinach Salad and a Pine Nut Dressing.

Shaken not Stired

Tigerlily is also providing a touch of luxury to anyone looking for Christmas treat or the perfect start to a Christmas shopping trip – a Bellini Breakfast. The package includes Peach Bellini and a choice of Grill Breakfast, Eggs Benedict with Inverawe Smoked Salmon/Wilted Spinach/Smoked Ham, or an Organic Breakfast.

While Tigerlily’s stunning interior and design will provide the perfect setting for any festive occasion, from couples to a full-on office party bash, those looking to get well and truly into the party spirit can head to Lulu – Tigerlily’s glamorous subterranean bar and club

Lulu, with its superb service, lush design detail and boudoir-like feel, will be open from 5pm to 3am every night – including Christmas Day – providing the coolest sounds and the best party venue in town.

And the fun doesn’t stop there, with Hogmanay rolling in close behind Christmas, Tigerlily will carry the festivities right through to 2007.

Special Hogmanay Packages have been put together offering two nights accommodation, complete with a bottle of delicious Veuve Clicquot Champagne on arrival. As part of this fantastic package, guests will also receive two tickets for the world renowned Edinburgh Street Party to see in the New Year in traditional Scottish style before rounding off the night at Lulu.

To complete the perfect start to 2007, guests will enjoy a Champagne Breakfast on New Year’s Day.

In addition, Tigerlily is also offering a Hogmanay Dinner which offers an exquisite five-course gourmet meal, including a glass of Champagne on arrival, cocktails on the Bells, exclusive use of the table for the evening and exciting goody bags for customers to take away.

David Hall, Tigerlily General Manager, said: “If you can imagine the fun you’ll have, we can do everything else. All in all, Tigerlily is going to be the place to be this Christmas and New Year so don’t miss out.”
