TIGERLILY – the ground-breaking ‘go-to’ venture that redefined Edinburgh’s bar, restaurant and hotel scene – has undergone a major refurbishment to further cement its position as Scotland’s number one destination for food, drink and entertainment.

The George Street venue – which includes an award-winning boutique hotel – has had an impressive £500,000 makeover of its ground floor interior and décor.

Alongside the refurbishment, visitors will find an impressive new menu packed with local flavour while the drinks offer has been completely shaken up.

Tigerlily is the flagship venue of Montpeliers (Edinburgh) Ltd, the group responsible for some of Edinburgh’s best and most forward-thinking bars and restaurants.

David Johnston, Development Director at Montpeliers, was confident before the refurbishment that Tigerlily would continue to be the most sought-after bar, restaurant and hotel in Edinburgh in terms of style, product and customer service.

With the help of our award-winning PR agency, the launch was an instant hit across a whole host of Scottish media, securing some fantastic coverage for Tigerlily. The story of the relaunch was picked up in favoured titles such as the Edinburgh Evening News, The Herald, The Sunday Times and The Scotsman, successfully achieving a circulation of well over 100,000.

tigerlily-relaunch-coverage-Hotel-PRThe story of Tigerlily’s investment also featured on trusted news websites Deadline News, Daily Business Group, Scottish Business News and The Edinburgh Reporter as well as being featured and circulated as part of Marketing Edinburgh’s popular newsletter.

Highlights include:

  • Online hits in Deadline News, Herald Scotland, Marketing Edinburgh Newsletter and the Edinburgh Reporter
  • Print coverage in The Herald, Scotsman, The Sunday Times and Dram
  • Social media attention from prominent bloggers such as TheEdinbug, TartanBrunette and Edinburghstylejunkie
  • An outstanding 8,403,420 people reached through print and online coverage

But it didn’t end there. Our committed PR team achieved a strong broadcast hit for the newly unveiled restaurant and hotel, with Tigerlily’s chef appearing on STV’s Fountain bridge show to demonstrate highlights from the new and improved menu.

Further positive coverage was secured on top foodie site Citylicious, as well as being picked up by 5pm blog.

The recognition gained for Tigerlily Hotel across a wide variety of publications helps to further enhance and maintain its superior position as one of the leading competitors in the Edinburgh Hotel industry.
