The Landlord ZONE trumpets innovative new property maintenance deal
Thursday, April 2nd, 2009
One Call Home Assist has grabbed the headlines in a respected website dedicated to providing the best information to landlords.
A specialist all trades contractor, the firm is predicting a sales surge of £1.5m after spotting a niche in the market for a fixed price maintenance contract to service the residential letting market.
Believed to be unique in the UK, it offers landlords and property investors a rival to the likes of British Gas or costly maintenance contracts offered by letting agents.
It has set a target of signing up at least 3000 contracts in the Edinburgh and Lothians by the end of the year. In Edinburgh alone, there are estimated to be 20,000 rented properties.
The scheme launched last month with a free Energy Performance Certificate (all new properties being let need to have an EPC) being offered with every new contract taken out – providing a potential saving of £80.
With a One Call Home Assist contract, all emergency repair work to electrical, plumbing and heating systems are covered, as well as general maintenance issues. The contracts also cover all PAT and gas safety testing.
