Restaurant’s fresh take on fast food wins headlines, thanks to pub and restaurant PR experts
A SHORT, sharp and successful media campaign helped put a new Thai restaurant firmly on the radar of discerning diners across Scotland.
The entrepreneurs behind innovative Thai Express Kitchen – a bold new venture in the £1 billion St James Quarter, Edinburgh – knew it would take something special to cut through in a fiercely competitive sector.
So, they turned to the team of pub and restaurant PR experts at Holyrood PR in Scotland and we deliverd a month-long campaign that put them on the map. We delivered the following stellar results:

As a new venue in the Edinburgh food scene, it was essential for the brand to make a splash in the media across Edinburgh and Scotland, as well as in specialist going out and hospitality titles.
Yet, the timescales were incredbily tight – with just a few short weeks to work in – and the restaurant faced a jaded media after a series of similar launches by other restaurant chains.
So, we conceived a drip-feed of timely and powerful stories to catch the attention of journalists and create a cascade of coverage – focusing on the business plans for the restaurant and how it would deliver a unique first for Scotland – innovative double-decker seating which required specialist planning permission.
Those two stories were part of a trio of separate media releases that helped create a steady stream of positive coverage for Thai Express Kitchen.
