Talented Perthshire Pair Chip In With PR in Scotland For Kids Golf Tournament

Perthshire Advertiser coverageTwo young golfers have hit the headlines after earning places to compete in one of the world’s most important junior golf tournaments.

Teenagers Emily Aird and Josh Roy were featured in the Perthshire Advertiser after making the cut for the U.S. Kids Golf European Championship.

They will be among 500 youngsters from 30 different nations taking part in the annual event, which is a one of the most important fixtures in the golfing calendar.

Both Emily, from Pitlochry and Josh, from Auchterarder, will take part in the under-14 section of the competition, played annually across four courses in East Lothian, Scotland.

Winners in each age group then go on to win a sought after place in the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship at Pinehurst Golf Club, North Carolina.

The European Championship takes place from June 1 to 3 across Gullane, Craigielaw and Longniddry Golf Clubs in East Lothian, outside Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh.
