RCSEd Christmas Party PR support in Edinburgh

A STAGGERING 2000 professionals celebrated their Christmas night out this year at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) – furthering the institution’s burgeoning festive reputation.

Taking place for three consecutive nights, the ‘Ultimate Christmas Party’ made use of three of the individual venues to provide an all-encompassing festive offering – with all profits going back into improving surgical standards around the world.

In its second year, the one-stop party idea proved a major hit with capital workers, with each room offering a different theme allowing it to cater for everyone.

Scott Mitchell, Commercial Director at the RCSEd Commercial Enterprises, said: “After the success of last year’s event we immediately started planning how we could make this year even better and from the response of those who attended I believe we achieved that.

Snow canons, prosecco bar, cocktail lounge, karaoke and disco all featured in The Quincentenary building and a casino, magician, face painter, live band and gin lounge were hosted in the new Prince Phillip Building.

The stunning Playfair Hall also provided a dedicated chill out space – rounding off an experience to rival anything else available in the city in one of its most impressive settings.

A reveller from the Livingston-based St John’s Accident and Emergency team, said: “50 of us from St John’s A&E attended last night and had the best time. At one point I think we “took over” the entire dance floor of the karaoke room!

“We would absolutely recommend the venue to others. Once again, thank you.”

Following on from the success of the “Ultimate Christmas Party Night” Scott has announced that in 2018 the programme of dates will be increased with enquiries already coming in from parties wishing to rebook.

Scott added: “When we launched the Ultimate Christmas Party it was just another part of our dedication to providing the best entertainment and hospitality in Edinburgh. It has been great to see it grow and we can’t wait to make it even bigger next year.

“Next year we will look to enhance this experience even further whilst maintaining excellent value, safety and security for all attendees.”
