A leading Scottish infection control nurse who is leading the Care Commission’s fight against superbugs in care homes, has been interviewed in a major care sector journal.
Gillian Stevenson, who took up her post as nurse consultant with Scotland’s care watchdog earlier this year, was featured in the “face to face” section of Nursing Older People – a specialist magazine for people working with elderly people in care.
She is currently spearheading an ambitious programme of work to help curb the chances of infections taking hold in settings regulated by the Care Commission used by vulnerable groups, including the very young and the very old.
