Thomas Ashdown, the managing director and founder of Scotland’s leading letting portal Citylets, has been discussing the latest trends in the country’s letting sector.
The entrepreneur, whose company produces regular quarterly reports showing how rents are performing across the country, explained how rent levels had been stabilising in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow.
Although all three cities have experienced high year-on-year falls in rents over the past three months, Thomas said that the figures also showed that the level of decline was slowing and rent levels were on a par with those recorded in the previous quarter. He added that this was a sign of the market reaching “the bottom of its curve”, and said that he was optimistic about the future direction of the market.
Citylets enjoys a high media profile and positive headlines thanks to a dedicated Scottish PR strategy operated by Edinburgh public relations agency the Holyrood Partnership.
