Legal staff in Edinburgh are benefitting from an innovative new office environment designed for one of the city’s top law and tax firms.
CMS Cameron McKenna is pleased with its bespoke office space, which has been created in its Castle Street premises by Edinburgh-based workspace designers Space Solutions.
The revamped office has been designed to take advantage of the building’s location in the heart of the Capital. Design experts from Space Solutions have created new reception, conference and meeting suites that will allow staff and visitors to enjoy stunning views of Edinburgh Castle.
The new open-plan office premises also includes a “breakout” area where staff can relax, as well as quiet/study rooms, a team meeting room, library and storage areas.
Gary McGurk, Business Manager at Space Solutions, said: “We have worked successfully with CMS Cameron McKenna in the past, including carrying out a full refurbishment of their offices in Aberdeen, so we were delighted to be involved in this latest project.
“The firm had a clear idea of what they wanted to incorporate in their refurbished premises in Edinburgh, and the challenge for us was to make this into a reality. We knew we had to create an office environment that was consistent CMS Cameron McKenna’s corporate brand and took advantage of their location in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre.

“As a result, we have created new conference and meeting rooms that utilise the building’s magnificent backdrop against Edinburgh Castle to maximum effect. The new reception area also uses impressive views onto the castle and Princes St Gardens.
“We have already had excellent feedback from the firm over the project and look forward to working with them again in the future.”

In 2009, Space Solutions completed a full revamp of CMS Cameron McKenna’s offices in Aberdeen – which included a range of improvements designed to sound-proof the firm’s premises.
The project also saw Space Solutions install a state-of-the-art partition – the first of its kind in the UK – in the firm’s Aberdeen boardroom, in order to dramatically cut noise during conferences.
