Scots golf star Stephen Gallacher has followed up his impressive second place in the Malaysian Open to give his support to this year’s U.S. Kids Golf European Championships.

Stephen, a former winner of the Dunhill Links championship, recorded an exclusive video to outline his praise for the tournament and to highlight how he believes it offers an excellent platform for young golfers to develop their skills.

He also provides some valuable tips on how the players can become the golfing stars of tomorrow.

Stephen, nephew of former Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher, last year became a member at Gullane golf course – one of the courses that is hosting this summer’s championship – and is currently mentoring the club’s juniors during his off time from commitments on the European Tour.

Stephen said: “The U.S. Kids Golf European Championships is a great event. It brings all the tops kids from Europe and around the world to compete against each other. That is so important, as competitive golf is what they need to be doing.”

Stephen, who rose to no 82 in the world rankings after finishing runner up to Louis Oosthuizen at the Malaysian Open, has recently opened his own kids golf development foundation to help develop the game in Scotland and encourage the next generation of golfing heroes.
