Sodexo Prestige Press releases

Amanda Brown of Sodexo Prestige poses for food and drink pr storyThe catering specialist at several of Scotland’s most exclusive venues is offering businesses the chance to boost performance and productivity – by enjoying the great outdoors.

Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events recently launched its ‘Let’s Go Outside’ summer initiative, including new outdoor packages which deliver an unusual twist on corporate meetings and large staff events.

The move will see two of the country’s finest racecourses as well as the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE), welcoming business groups and helping them reward staff success or unlock potential through a series of fun and innovative al fresco activities.

Amanda Brown, pictured left, UK Sales Development Director for Sodexo Prestige, said: “The smartest business leaders know that it’s important to reward and recognise staff or to try new things to keep their people fresh and creative.

“We’ve seen how our Scottish venues have delivered real successes for businesses, including companies throwing fun days for staff and their families, corporate team building events or networking meetings and client entertaining with a real difference.

“Now we are making it easier than ever for businesses to take advantage of these superb venues and to discover the special elements that make each of them unique. What’s more, booking one of these outdoor events is hassle-free.

“We love hosting these types of events, as participants not only see a different side to the venues, but it also allow us to showcase the talent, skill and knowledge of our chefs, catering team and top quality local suppliers.Chef hard at work- food and drink pr story

“It also gives us the perfect platform to demonstrate how we use fresh produce from Scotland’s incredible natural larder – hugely important as we celebrate Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink.”

As well as RBGE, Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events will also be offering outdoor business packages at both Hamilton Park Racecourse and Perth Racecourse.

Hamilton Park Racecourse

The extensive grounds at the racecourse make it the perfect location for summer events.

With more than 20 acres of outdoor space and large permanent marquees, guests can experience open days, family fun days and BBQ’s in the extensive grounds.

Hamilton Park Racecourse is encouraging companies, families and friends to try out its new BBQ Funday packages which include exclusive venue hire, use of the Parade Ring Marquee and an onsite BBQ.

It’s a formula which is already tried and tested with satisfied customers to date including major banks, councils and other big name employers.

Guests can choose activities to bond with colleagues, build relationships with customers and clients, or just for family fun, including playing target golf or taking part in bungee runs and mini highland games.

Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

The RBGE has earned its status as one of the country’s most unusual and popular visitor attractions.

Dating back to the 17th century, the historic garden is a scenic and tranquil green oasis in the city. It is also an important centre of plant science and education.

The venue’s 120-seat restaurant and range of event spaces are all run with sustainable systems – from a biomass boiler and rainwater harvesting, to solar technology.

As well as business-friendly BBQ packages, one of the hottest summer attractions will be the Pan Asian Street Food packages (Tray Sealer packed), a celebration of Far East cuisine, launched to huge acclaim earlier in 2015 to mark the Asian holiday, ‘Lunar New Year’.

Among the impressive range of menu options are dishes made with ingredients from the RBGE’s edible garden.

Perth Racecourse

Thanks to a partnership with Land Rover, the racecourse has already earned a reputation for one of the most adrenaline-pumping outdoor experiences available.

Food and Drink PR storyIdeal for team-building or staff reward days, the package includes six different, high-octane activities, including blindfolded Land Rover driving and a blindfolded obstacle course.

Also hugely popular is the vehicle circus driving, which involves two front ended Land Rovers with a clutch and brake at one end and gears at the other being driven round an obstacle course.

The venue also boasts a newly refurbished barn-style venue, providing the perfect setting for a rustic and delicious BBQ made from fresh, local Scottish produce.

Amanda Brown added: “We are delighted to be introducing our Let’s Go Outside packages into three of our most highly regarded venues in Scotland.

“They offer something for everyone and already proving an extremely popular draw for business events. Of course, we’ll be delighted to welcome all customer groups from spring to autumn.”
