School musicians help residents reminisce with traditional Scottish music

Residents at Cramond Residence benefitted from a bespoke performance from a youth pipe band, helping them to reminisce on their favourite Scottish songs from years gone by.

Tying in with the home’s Burn’s night celebrations, pupils from Cargilfield School, drummed up a selection of traditional tunes for residents to enjoy, while also building intergenerational connections.

The visit is just one of the ways the home is boosting resident wellbeing through a variety of social and creative activities, designed to keep residents stimulated.

Our social care experts were touched by the story and knew it needed to be told.

Check out the results:

  • 7 items of coverage across national, regional and local media
  • 117,246 opportunities to see across online and social media publications
  • Features in North Edinburgh News, The Edinburgh Reporter, and Deadline News

The team reached out to the incredible staff at Cramond Residence and interviewed Angela Skilky, Lifestyle Co-ordinator to hear more about the positive impact the performance was to have on residents.

Our experts in social care PR then drafted a press release, obtained photographs and issued to key national, regional and local titles, who shared this amazing story across their online and social media channels.

This type of coverage was highly valuable for Cramond Residence as it showcased the home’s complete commitment to its residents in creating unique, enjoyable memories, as well as placing the home in front of a huge range of new potential customers, with regional and local coverage building awareness of the brand in the local area.
