Social Care PR experts share the story of dedicated staff delivering activity programme virtually

Tech Activities Success post made by care pr team at award winning scottish public relations agency, holyrood pr

ONE of Edinburgh’s top care homes has invested in technology to continue enriching the lives of its residents and beat lockdown boredom, as the home utilise its small group living units to limit infection control.

Cramond Residence have adjusted their timetables and moved daily activities online. Thanks to the help of Lifestyle Coordinators the care home held a host of virtual activities from book club to family visits and even brought some of the ‘best days out’ into the home via a virtual tour.

Our team of Social Care PR specialists welcomed this transition and celebrated the consistent efforts made at Cramond Residence to deliver enriching and stimulating activities, keeping residents at the heart of everything it does.

As a result, our team drafted a release celebrating the dedicated staff who have put in a lot of hard work to ensure the initiative was efficient and that residents were comfortable with the technology.

We shared this release with the media and highlights include:

  • 130,963 opportunities to see
  • 8 pieces of coverage across online and social media platforms
  • Earned Specialist, national and regional
  • Featured in The Edinburgh Reporter & Deadline News

You can read the original press release here.

Our team didn’t stop there, and neither did Cramond.

With the annual Burns Night a major hit within the home, care staff organised a virtual Burns Night to celebrate all things Scottish and ensure residents could celebrate with their fellow friends in the home.

With a pre-recorded address to the Haggis, the residents raised a dram behind a screen and chatted with friends through a video-conferencing call.

This humbling story was shared with local, regional and national news outlets, showcasing the efforts made to uphold traditions and continue to provide a stimulating and enjoyable social calendar for residents.

Highlights include:

  • 109,485 opportunities to see
  • 11 pieces of coverage across online, social media and print
  • Featured in the Edinburgh Reporter
  • Earned regional and specialist coverage

You can read the original press release here.

Cumulatively, our stories created over 240,000 opportunities to see which in turn is helping to share the amazing work that staff at the home carry out every day, as well as highlighting the fantastic array of activities on offer.  On top of this it also highlighted the measures taken amidst lockdown.

The 74-room care home is split up into 9 houses with a private television and lounge within each house to be used by a small group of residents.

With outstanding facilities and bespoke care Cramond staff are devoted to creating a fun and active environment, placing the wellbeing of its residents’ front and centre.
