DUO of luxury CALA showhomes launch in Penicuik
A MAJOR homebuilder is tempting families out of the busy city and into semi-rural Midlothian with the launch of two new showhomes.
Buyers can now step in and see what life could be like at CALA Homes’ (East) new Belwood Oaks development, situated in picturesque Penicuik.
This eagerly-anticipated collection of three, four and five-bedroom homes is the latest offering from CALA in Midlothian and follows the sell-out success of two other developments in the region.
The showhomes, a four-bed Cleland and five-bed Garvie from CALA’s exclusive Light & Space Collection feature interior design by Carol Yates.
Carol said: “These showhomes are both designed with family living in mind but each offers something a little different to the other.
“The Cleland’s lounge is cosy and inviting – it’s all about mixing different textures and patterns to create a comfortable and stylish living space. We’ve achieved this by using tones of burnt copper set against the backdrop of cool grey with one tweed sofa and one linen sofa.
“The master bedroom is definitely the ‘grown-up’ room, with shades of pale aqua and green in the wallpaper and luxurious furnishings like a forest green velvet chair and pale aqua button stool.
“My favourite room in this house is the guest bedroom – we’ve gone playful with lots of colour and a bird theme and funky artwork. It’s fun but still very tasteful.
“The Garvie showhome, on the other hand, uses navy blur and pale golds combined with dark wood and velvet textures. It’s luxurious without being too much.
“Its master bedroom has tones of pale spun gold with aubergine and silver with French style furniture in pale grey.
“The children’s rooms in this house are fabulous too – we went with a jungle theme in one room, with treehouse bed, colourful stickers and toy giraffe and hippo included, of course.”
Originally one of Midlothian’s historic paper mill towns, Penicuik can be found nine miles from the centre of Edinburgh. Just a 30-minute journey by car, those travelling into the city can also take advantage of well-connected public transport.
Closer to home, families can discover a variety of cafes, shops and award-winning restaurants along the town’s high street.
Philip Hogg, Sales and Marketing Director with CALA Homes (East), said: “It’s no wonder Midlothian has been so popular with our buyers – it’s the perfect setting for bringing up a family.
“The homes at Belwood Oaks have been crafted with modern families in mind, acknowledging the need for practical space that can be adapted as they grow.
“The two new showhomes by Carol Yates will really encapsulate this ethos, drawing inspiration from Penicuik’s blissful surroundings while showcasing the high specification features and overall quality of build.
“With such a desirable setting, we expect the homes at Belwood Oaks to be in high demand. A visit to the showhomes is a must for those looking to discover their dream family home.”
Properties at Belwood Oaks start at £349,000 and include a range of three, four and five-bedroom family homes.
The Garvie and Cleland showhomes are available to view daily. For more information, visit https://www.cala.co.uk/homes-for-sale/east-of-scotland/belwood-oaks
