Long-awaited show homes set to launch at exclusive development in Edinburgh
TWO eagerly-awaited show apartments are preparing to open their doors to buyers at an exclusive new residency in the heart of one of Edinburgh’s most envied locations.
Homebuyers will finally be able to step into and experience how life could be at the stunning new show apartments in their impressive setting at The Crescent by CALA Homes (East), situated within Donaldson’s, one of the most iconic estates in Edinburgh’s historic New Town.
The Crescent offers a range of two and three-bedroom properties and very limited one-bedroom apartments due later in the development, all overlooking the Donaldson’s estate situated within Edinburgh’s celebrated UNESCO World Heritage site.
Buyers are being encouraged to sign up and register their interest now in order to be one of first to see inside these one-of-a-kind show apartments.
The design of the two show apartments has been inspired not only by the building itself but its outstanding surroundings, led by multi-award-winning Alexander James interior designers.
Alexander James have been recognised as one of the World’s Top 100 Interior Designers for three consecutive years in the Andrew Martin Review, which is known as the Oscars of the design world, and were a perfect fit for this remarkable design project.
Stacey Sibley, Creative Director at Alexander James, said: “It has been a joy to work with CALA at this absolutely fantastic setting, and on such a unique building.
“The inspiration for the design came from the traditional architectural style of Edinburgh’s surrounding Georgian crescents – but with a very contemporary twist.
“Crescent-shaped streets allowed people to create buildings with open spaces and gardens within cities, so a natural palette of colours was a huge influence in the design.”
The architecture of The Crescent has been directly influenced by Edinburgh’s famous Georgian crescents, with the show apartments boasting the open views and innovative design features this classic style affords.
Paired with an impressive glass façade are generous flowing spaces, enhanced height living areas and dynamic levels and with each apartment offering a dual-aspect living arrangement, The Crescent uniquely combines classic design with modern style.
Stacey added: “It really is a stunning development. You don’t experience the full impact of it until you’re actually on the grounds. We’re so excited to see it all come together.”
Designed by Richard Murphy OBE, the sweeping curve of 84 premium city apartments sits within the 18 acres of grounds of the city’s iconic Donaldson’s estate, near Haymarket station.
The vast front lawn and panoramic views over Edinburgh’s cityscape and towards the Pentland Hills beyond, combined with private terraces and garden to the tree-lined rear offer buyers an idyllic rural escape – whilst still being in the heart of the capital.
Philip Hogg, Sales and Marketing Director for CALA Homes (East), said: “It’s really getting exciting now that we’re edging closer to the launch of these exceptional show apartments.
“The very talented team at Alexander James were a perfect fit in making these show apartments a reality – we can’t wait to see the finished product.
“We’d urge those interested in viewing to register their interest with us, to ensure they are first to see inside the apartments and have the chance to experience what life could be like at The Crescent.”
Priced from £950,000 to £1,925,000, The Crescent comprises some of the city’s most sought-after new residences, with early demand high.
