Scottish PR for Channel 6 With Business 7

Channel 6 picAdvice from Scottish web design experts Channel 6 has been covered by Scottish business newspaper Business 7.

The leading multimedia agency gave advice to online retailers on strict new card security rules in the weekly publication.

The article, which ran under the headline “New rules check for card fraud” told how compliance to industry standards was to be enforced from October 1.

The story in Business 7 told how Scottish web-based businesses processing less than 20,000 credit card transactions must now meet the international regulations devised by major card companies to protect customers from internet fraud.

Kate Little, business development director for Edinburgh-based Channel 6, was quoted as  welcoming the security measures but warned that some online merchants were either unaware of the new rules, or did not know how to meet them.

The article quoted her warning: “Across Scotland we suspect there may still be many smaller businesses which don’t even know these new security measures exist.”
