Digital crime fighters celebrate headlines after SOS call from Boris Johnson’s office

Edinburgh PR agency gets coverage for SBRC after they're sought out by Boris Johnson's office

CRIME fighters devoted to helping businesses avoid the perils of online crooks and fakers have scored major media success – after being called in by Boris Johnson’s office.

The Scottish Business Resilience Centre (SBRC) enjoyed a goldrush of media coverage, after the London Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) called on them to replicate one of their most successful services for the English capital.

Public relations experts Holyrood PR in Edinburgh helped SBRC tell the story of how boss Mandy Haeburn Little was sought out to help set up the London Digital Security Centre for the capital’s SMEs.

And that success story was picked up by a number of major Scottish titles, including the Herald and in the brand new Scottish daily, The National.

The Herald is the longest running National newspaper in the world, with daily circulation of its printed paper at around 38,000. The story also featured on its hugely popular website.

Scottish Business News Network supplies business stories on a rolling basis, and featured the story in the Aberdeen Business News, Lothian Business News and Strathclyde Business News pages.

BQ Live, a leading business to business publication, also  featured the successes of the SBRC, publishign the story online and in its Scottish newsletter, which is delivered direct to the inbox of thousnads of  Scottish business influencers.

SBRC’s goal is to “create a secure Scotland for business to flourish in” and it has played a major role in raising awareness of the threat to individuals and companies from cyber and digitally enabled crime.

This latest media success for SBRC reflects the ongoing work from the team at Holyrood PR. In fact, our Edinburgh PR agency won a prestigi0us silver awards for Best Use of Media Relations, for work carried out on behalf of SBRC in 2014.
