Bruce festival celebrates media coverage
LOCAL café owner, David Austin, was featured in the Scotsman, as he will see is very own ale be officially launched at this years Bruce Festival thanks to Scottish PR.
The festival, running for an entire weekend at Dunfermline’s Pittencrief Park is one of Scotland’s largest free festivals. It celebrates the life of legendary Scottish King, Robert the Bruce.
With the launch coinciding with the Bruce Festival, visitors to Dunfermline will be able to toast de Brus Dunfermline Blonde Ale. The idea first came to David when he noticed that a lot of beers stocked in his café/wine bar were Scottish, but none were local.
Being named after the historic King, there is no better time to launch the beer. The Bruce Festival, as the name would suggest, pays homage to Robert the Bruce through a variety of events and activities set in full-scale medieval village.
These activities include free archery lessons, medieval fashions shows, and a sword procession, amongst other things.
More information on the Bruce Festival can be found on the Dunfermline Delivers website.
