Sculpta Cosmetics -Cosmetic clinic sculpts healing PR in Scotland

A forward-thinking cosmetic clinic has won headlines in Scotland’s best known quality newspaper for pioneering the use of a new treatment dubbed “spray on skin”.

The Scotsman reported how Sculpta Clinic in Glasgow has become the first centre in Scotland – and one of just six in the UK – to offer the treatment for burns and scarring victims.

In an extensive report in the globally-respected newspaper, its specialist health correspondent explained how the treatment is based on stem cell therapy to aid the healing process.

It works by taking a sample of skin cells from a concealed area of the body, usually the ear and harvesting them in a special solution. The solution is then sprayed onto the affected area and covered with a dressing for seven days. It takes around one year to witness the full effects of the treatment.

Sculpta Clinic prides itself on being at the forefront of the latest cosmetic and beauty treatments and Dr Mohammed Ahmad, Sculpta’s  Clinical Director was quoted extensively in the article.

QueryClick – Digital agency QueryClick read between the lines to grab some Google worthy Scottish PR

Chris Liversidge founder of Edinburgh based QueryClick provided comment for The Scotsman’s daily Between The Lines feature which includes views and advice from across a variety of sectors, all of which with a business slant.

The piece focuses on the importance of search marketing to companies, no matter what product/service they are offering and shows that in order to boost their online profile they need to conduct ethical search engine optimisation (SEO) tactics to do so.

QueryClick work with a variety of clients to promote ethical or ‘white hat’ as it is commonly known in the business over ‘black hat’ (unethical SEO) tactics, as although these provide an instant hit, they can be damaging for the company’s underlying value.

Chris sites the case of New York department store giant JC Penney as an example of unethical SEO and the pitfalls it can have. JC Penney were recently penalised for manipulating Google search results, raising a valuable question about the regulation of search marketing.

The team at QueryClick have gained a reputation for successful and ethical SEO campaigns, working with a range of blue chips clients including Mont Hotels and Brew Dog. They work with each client to demystify the world of search marketing and help boost their online profiles and improve website conversion rates – turning site visits into sales.

The highlight of the menu for Joanna was the authentic tiramisu which she describes in the article as: “Divino takes the tasting principle to a further extreme with their authentic Tiramisu. No sneaking whipped cream into the mix, just a time honoured emulsion of whipped eggs and sweetened mascarpone cheese, swaddling Savoiardi biscuits soaked in espresso and amaretto liquer. Done the right way its a lovely dessert. You’ll have to try it.”
