Scottish PR company helps raise profile of legal firm's charity night

A CHARITABLE banquet hosted by a leading Scottish legal firm will raise money for two of the nation’s most important children’s causes.

After raising more than £50,000 for the Teapot Trust and Children’s Aid last year, the third annual “GRACE banquet” by Gilson Gray will take place at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh, on Friday 6th October 2017.

This year’s event will be in benefit of both Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity (ECHC) and Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity (GCHC), reflecting the firm’s growing teams that are based across both cities.

Matthew Gray, Managing Director of Gilson Gray Property Services, said: “We are delighted to host the Grace Banquet once again and are particularly pleased to be doing so in aid of Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity and Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity

“Those connected with Gilson Gray along with many of our clients have experienced first hand the wonderful work both hospitals do for children and families.

“We are grateful to those already supporting the event in taking tables and contributing to our exciting auction.

“Lastly, special thanks to James Thomson and his team at Prestonfield for all of the help in hosting the event.

“Both charities strive to improve the quality of life for children in Scotland and I am sure you will agree merit our full support.”

Amy Ford, Corporate and Trusts Fundraiser at ECHC said: “We’re delighted to have been chosen as one of the charities to benefit from the Grace Banquet and would like to thank all those who are buying tables at the event and plan to donate on the evening; it promises to be a fantastic night.

“Your support will enable us to continue our work of transforming the experience of children and young people in hospital so they can be a child first and a patient second.”

Kirsten Sinclair, Director of Fundraising at Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity said: “We are incredibly grateful to have been chosen as one of the beneficiary charities for this year’s Grace Banquet, and would like to share our heartfelt thanks with Gilson Gray for their wonderful support.

“Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity is committed to ensuring that young patients and their families treated at Scotland’s largest children’s hospital – the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow – receive the best possible care and experience.

“Every year, more than 168,000 babies, children and young people from across Scotland are treated at Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Children. Thanks to the kind and generous support from Gilson Gray, we will be able to continue funding enhanced medical equipment, family support services, paediatric research and hospital play programmes in order to help these children and their families through some of the most difficult times of their lives.”

With a fantastic evening of entertainment lined up, the black tie event will include exquisite dining, dancing, an entertainment quiz and a chance to bid on a wide range of auction lots.

Tables of 10 are available at £1250 or single tickets can be purchased for £125 and offered on a strictly first come, first served basis.

Gilson Gray is based in Glasgow (160 West George Street) and Edinburgh (29 Rutland Square) with a radical client-focused strategy that offers a cost effective alternative to the top ten firms in the country.
