DFDS Norfolkline’s popular whiskey tours have made the pages of an online travel website thanks to Scottish PR

Travel and Tour World – the most comprehensive e-magazine in the world travel industry – ran the story which details DFDS Norfolkline’s specialist sailings.

The ferry company organised for European travellers to experience a whiskey tasting whilst on board the Scottish Viking which travels between Zeebrugge, Belgium, and Rosyth, Fife.

DFDS Norfolkline saw more than 120 passengers take advantage of the trips which was organised in conjunction with Diageo and Fife Council.

DFDS Norfolkline began operating the Rosyth to Zeebrugge route in May 2009 and announced in August this year that the ferry would no longer run as a combined passenger and freight service.

More than 120 travellers signed up for the trips which allowed visitors from Belgium to taste the ‘water of life’ whilst sailing to Rosyth, Fife.

DFDS Norfolkline began operating the Rosyth-Zeebrugge service in May 2009, allowing thousands of passengers to enjoy the benefits of starting their holidays on their doorstep as well as the service’s leisurely overnight crossing.

The Scottish Viking sails three times a week from both ports and with onboard facilities that include a restaurant, bar, cinema and children’s play area, there are plenty of opportunities for passengers of all ages to sit back, enjoy the journey and arrive in Europe refreshed and relaxed.

DFDS Norfolkline announced in August that its Rosyth to Zeebrugge route will no longer operate as a combined passenger and freight service and will operate solely as a freight-only route.
