Bield Housing And Care Media Coverage

Bield, one of Scotland’s largest specialist providers of Housing and Care for older people, has been gaining coverage at the West Lothian Courier and Care Industry News due to John Halliday,36, who is going to cycle 220 mile to raise money for the charity- Scottish PR

This big-hearted nephew was so impressed by the care his Aunt receives at the St Andrews Court care home in Uphall, West Lothian, that he decided to take to his bike to cross Scotland from his hometown in Aberdeen to the West Coast.

He will not be alone since John will be joined by some pals. They will hit the road in June and are also raising funds for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland.

John said: “The fantastic care services my Aunt receives from Bield have inspired me to fundraise and having seen the services first-hand I know their users will benefit from any money donated.

Brian Logan, Chief Executive at Bield Housing & Care, added: “Individual donations including sponsored events like these allow us to provide life-enhancing services and opportunities such as outings and social activities, so those in our care can continue to live life to the full.

“Fundraisers like John and his friends are vital to Bield and we are hugely appreciative of their efforts.”

The coverage was achieved as part of an ongoing PR campaign for Bield Housing & Care. The original press release can be read on the Holyrood Partnership website here.
