RESIDENTS of Possil Park in Glasgow have voiced their appreciation after receiving a donation to help fund a communal disability access park from procurement firm SPA.

In what would prove to be a city-first, our Scottish PR experts knew large focus had to placed on the plans to create an openly accessible disability friendly play park.

The talented team at HPR instantly knew this would be particularly attractive for the local media, and got to work producing a story with our range of contacts.

The results hugely exceeded even our initial expectations! They included:

  • 243,943 opportunities to see
  • 12 separate pieces of coverage
  • Impact on print, online and social media
  • Huge impact with Glasgow-specific papers
  • Large amount of specialised coverage, which is the most likely to result in engagement

This enormous impact not only amplifies a positive image of the Scottish Procurement Alliance, but also the local and specialised coverage increases the potential of readers becoming involved in future projects. The expert skills from the Holyrood PR team are what made this possible.

Of course for this particular story we knew how crucial it was to aim for local and specialised media, as they are two categories which have a target audience for this recent project.

Another success of this campaign was that it allowed SPA Director, Clive Feeney, to spread the other good work they have done over the year. Feeney stressed that his company have helped numerous people who have been negatively impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, which again is more good press for the SPA.

Overall, this is yet another example of how the talents of Holyrood PR can work wonders for a business, both reputation-wise, but also in driving in more people.
