A major conference is being held to ensure Scottish businesses are geared up to seize the unprecedented opportunities from Scotland being in the global spotlight in 2014.

The one-day event is being hosted by the Scottish Business Resilience Centre, in conjunction with NCC Group, and will offer key advice from a host of top industry leaders on how to deliver successful business performance in 2014 and beyond.

Taking place at the RBS Conference Centre in Edinburgh on January 29, the conference (Innovation & Resilience: A Positive Future for Business in Scotland) will also feature a series of workshops, exhibitions and pop-up shops to provide bosses with practical guidance and information on how to better manage their businesses.

Mandy Haeburn-Little, Director of SBRC, said: “Never has it been so vital that Scotland’s businesses are prepared and ready for everything that will happen in 2014.

“All eyes will be on Scotland in 2014, with the Year of Homecoming, the Commonwealth Games and the upcoming Independence Referendum. So it’s incredibly important for businesses across the country to seize the unprecedented opportunities from this to maximise their potential.

“Whether it be marketing or thinking more creatively, hearing from some of Scotland’s strongest entrepreneurs, to making sure resilience is embedded in all processes, we hope the event will encourage companies to go from strength to strength in this pivotal year.”

Keynote speakers for the event include Scotland’s Enterprise Minister Fergus Ewing and Alan Meldrum, Managing Director of customer loyalty specialists Percepta.

Tickets for the conference cost £25 plus VAT for SBRC members or £75 plus VAT for non-members.  A discounted rate is available to non-members who are booking five or more places to attend.
