According to Citylets, rents in Scotland are at their highest levels since 2008, as demand for rented accommodation continues to increase throughout the country. The data report reveals the average rent in the third quarter of 2011, which  now stands at £670 – a 3.2% rise on the same period last year and the highest year-on-year figure since Scotland ‘s last rental boom in 2008.

Dan Cookson, senior analyst with Citylets, quoted in the article: “There’s no doubt that the rental market in Scotland is continuing to perform exceptionally well.
