SBRC’s crime-fighting partnership battles into the headlines thanks to Tech PR

A series of media cuttings celebrate coverage acheived for the launch of Scotland's first e-crime summit

BUSINESSES across Scotland have been invited to the e-Crime Scotland Summit – the first of its kind to combat the menace of cybercrime.

Working alongside e-Crime Scotland, the Scottish Business Resilience Centre has brought the Scottish Crime & Drug Enforcement Agency, all eight of Scotland’s police forces and well as industry experts together to battle the real and constant threat of cybercrime.

With e-crime costing the Scottish economy upwards of £5 billion a year, we knew we had to make sure the battle against online offenders was heard far and wide.

Highlights of the stellar coverage delivered included:

  • National coverage in the business sections of The Scotsman and The Herald – read by the most influential figures in the sector
  • Online articles on two of the country’s most reputable news sites – BBC News and STV – attracting millions of readers
  • Valuable coverage on business sites – business 7 and Dundee and Angus Chamber
  • All of this – and more – amounted to a total of over 20 million opportunities to see the story

Coverage in both national and industry titles is vital in securing the SBRC’s reputation as a non-profit organisation, existing to support and help Scottish businesses.
