Scotland on Sunday, has featured an article about how homeowners in the St Andrews area, are raking in the benefits of this years St. Andrews Open golf tournament, by letting out their homes.
The prestigious golfing event, attracts fans from as far as Canada, America and Europe and this year there is added interest in the event, thanks to the return of Tiger Woods.
Golf fans are snapping up property in the area and local residents are renting out their homes for as much as £22,000 for nine days.
Dan Cookson of Citylets says in the article: “Many substanstial family homes come onto the rental market for just a fortnight every five years. With rental figures of £10,000 plus for a fortnight it’s not surprising, so many homeowners decide to get out of the house for two weeks and make a killing.’
The full article can be read on Scotland on Sunday’s website and was secured as part of a successful PR and social media campaign carried out on behalf of CityLets by The Holyrood PR.
