Rush of Job Applicants Helps Improve Water Experts’ PR in Scotland

Panton McLeod Blog

Panton McLeod press coverage highlighted by Holyrood PR PR in ScotlandPanton McLeod, the Uk’s leading water quality engineering firm, has received another boost to its Scottish PR after being featured in a respected construction industry website.

Build Scotland ran a glowing report on the Borders-based firm, which has recently defied the credit crunch by successfully expanding its workforce and received a flood of applications from despertae, out-of-work construction experts.

Panton McLeod advertised for a junior labourer position last month and received more than 100 applications in just four days. The majority of the applicants came from out-of-work civil engineers and construction experts – some of whom were willing to commute from as far afield as Glasgow, Cardiff and Newcastle to work for the Borders-based company.

The publication said that the unprecidented interest in the job showed that the construction industry was still being badly affected by the recession.

The full coverage can be seen at Build Scotland and was the result of a media campaign set up by Holyrood PR PR in Scotland.
